Hallo und herzlich willkommen zum "Elementary German 2"-Blog!
This blog shall give you the opportunity to learn 24/7. That means here you can learn German also outside of the classroom. You can find news and information about Germany on this blog or post interesting facts concerning Germany for your fellow students to read. Furthermore, you can post any questions you have concerning the class or Germany in general and answer your fellow students' questions. I hope that by helping each other and learning together you will find learning German more interesting. Also I do hope by providing extracurricular information and giving you links to authentic German sites, I can increase your desire to learn German.
Please, TRY TO POST IN GERMAN!! If sometimes you can't, that's ok but you will see that making the effort will help you learn German faster and you can practise German outside of class without being graded on your work. So use this opportunity!
I've already put up some links. There is a dictionary you can use which often provides quick help. Just type in either the German or the English word, click the button and you get the translation. There's also a link to the most popular (and I think best) German newssite and a link for you to learn more about the Handball-worldcup in Germany, which by the way the Germans just won last weekend ;-) . If you click on "Handball-WM Video-Highlights" on that page, you can see a video of the best scenes of the final. There's 2 min. of Denmark vs. France who placed for rank 3 on there, but just let it run and you'll see Germany and Poland fighting for the championship. Great also for those of you who don't know what handball is.
